Wood handle material for knife making. Also called knife scales. This sale is for one set of the indicated wood type. You will receive two pieces of wood that are cut near 1 ½ x 5 ½ x 5/16 to 3/8+ inches. They come as a book matched set. Understand that the photos are of a comparable set. When working and selling natural wood, the color, grain, and overall look might be different from shown in the photo. Items that have more than one set shown is simply to show the wide range of grain in the wood type. IT DOES NOT INDICATE YOU GET MORE THAN ONE SET. We do offer scales that are unique and are sold as “what you see is what you get”. This listing is not that way. You get the next set of the indicated wood type. If you are looking for something specific, or you want to see what you are getting for a special knife, look for “unique scales”. These scales are also often used for making 1911 gun grips. If you are ever unsatisfied with your order, please contact us. On a rare occasion wood will crack or split due to the change in temperature or humidity when moving from state to state. We are a small business located in Springville Utah, made up of family members. We strive to provide the best quality knife making materials and knife kits possible, from the experienced knife maker to the first time beginner. Often we are asked if a teenager or inexperienced knife maker can accomplish making a knife. Our answer is always YES! We started off as brothers putting together a knife kit together one weekend. We loved it so much that we turned it into a business. It is an awesome simple project for all ages. We have over 25 wood types we keep on hand, along with making resins, stabilized woods, wood micarta, laser engraved woods, fractal burned scales, bone, horn, and a large number of unique scales.
